Juvenile and the Senior Modernette Corps were victorious in every event in which they competed.

The Modernette Baton Corps, located in Library/South Park, Pa., recently returned from the National Baton Twirling Championships at Notre Dame University, South Bend Indiana. This annual event known as “America’s Youth On Parade” is sponsored by the N. B. T. A. (National Baton Twirling Association). The Juvenile and the Senior Modernette Corps were victorious in every event in which they competed.

Senior Modernettes

The Senior Modernettes won the Senior Show Corps With Props Competition and were victorious in the Grand Corps Finals earning the right to represent the United States at the World Championship in Norway in the Spring of 2018.

The World Championships are held every three years. The Senior Modernettes have represented the U.S.A. at all nine World Championship Competitions dating back to 1990 and have won 8 Gold and 1 Silver in International Competition. World Competitions were held in 1990 in Holland, 1993 in France, 1996 in Italy, 2000 in England, 2003 in France, 2006 in Holland, 2009 in Belgium, 2012 in Switzerland, and 2015 in Italy.

The Senior Modernettes also competed in the National Pom Pon Championship Competition at Notre Dame and won the Senior National Pom Pon title and the Grand Pom Pon Championship and the right to represent the U.S.A. at the World Championships in Norway in the Spring of 2018.

Juvenile Modernettes

The Juvenile Modernettes competed in the Juvenile National Show Corps With Props Competition and the Juvenile National Pom Pon Championship Competition and won both National Championships.

The Juvenile Modernettes are under the direction of Leeann Chamberlain and Tina Tomlins. The Senior Modernettes Corps Director is Sherry Vignoli-Parisi (daughter of Modernette founder, the late, Ruby Daugherty).
