WOMEN of Southwestern PA was recently awarded the Outstanding Philanthropy Organization from the AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) Western Pennsylvania (www.afpwpa.org) for 2018.

AFP Western Pennsylvania is the key resource for fundraising and nonprofit professionals in Western PA and West Virginia.

WOMEN of Southwestern PA, Inc. is a charitable non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c) (3) organization based in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. They are a 100% philanthropic organization with no paid staff dedicated to directly supporting less fortunate women and children in Allegheny, Washington, Greene and Fayette Counties. They gather socially, work on philanthropic projects, and network with the hope that friendships based on trust and mutual respect develop. The goal of WOMEN of Southwestern PA is to strive to be the best each can be by empowering themselves through education, by sharing what they have learned, and by mentoring each other.

WOMEN of Southwestern PA will be honored at a luncheon on National Philanthropy Day, November 15, 2018, at the Fairmont Hotel in Pittsburgh.
