The Washington Symphony Orchestra recently received a grant of $10,000 from the EQT Foundation.

The funding is designated for the WSO’s next offering, “Ho Ho Ho with the WSO,” which will be performed twice at Trinity High School in Washington—once on Saturday, December 2 at 8 p.m. and again on Sunday, December 3 at 3 p.m. This is the WSO’s second grant award from the EQT Foundation.

“This grant award from The EQT Foundation to sponsor our holiday concerts is a wonderful demonstration of the scope of their community support. The WSO is grateful to again be a recipient of their generosity,” said WSO Board President Monica Merrell. “For every new season the WSO can present our concerts, many thanks are due to our business partners and individual donors and all of the patrons who come to hear us perform. The holiday concert is a wonderful introduction to the WSO, so for those who have not yet heard us, please take this opportunity to come and enjoy the music.”

EQT Corporation and the EQT Foundation are committed to enhancing the social and economic vitality of their operating regions. For more than a decade, the EQT Foundation has made a difference by supporting local programs and initiatives that involve education, community and economic development, the arts, and the environment. Together with a variety of non-profit organizations, the EQT Foundation develops strong partnerships that enrich the diversity and viability of our communities, sustain the principles of continuous learning, and focus on environmental protection efforts.

“We’re excited to help celebrate the holidays and wonderful traditions in Washington County by supporting this show,” said Ellen Rossi, EQT Foundation Manager. “The EQT Foundation is proud to be part of outstanding arts programming throughout the region, and is especially pleased to be a returning partner with the Washington Symphony Orchestra.”
