The South Hills Children's Choir will be performing with the Waynesburg Lamplighters, under the direction of Mrs. Melanie Catana, per their invitation on November 19.

The performance will be at 3 p.m. in the Roberts Chapel on the Waynesburg University Campus.

The choirs will sing both together and separately, ending with the song "Music Down in My Soul" by Moses Hogan. This gospel praise piece, inspired by the spiritual “Over My Head,” features an energetic piano accompaniment and compelling harmonies as the two choirs sing together. Listeners will indeed feel the “joy down in their soul” that the song describes.

This free event will cheer the hearts of attendees during the dreary November days, inspiring and renewing them for the week ahead. As American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow once said, “Music is the universal language of mankind.” Come speak that language with us.
