More than 1,100 racers from across the country and all over the world came to compete on South Park’s legendary BMX track, known for its big jumps and full throttle racing. The event featured Olympic competitors including Donny Robinson, Maris Stromberg, David Herman, Corben Sharrah and Nic Long. Over 200 action packed motos kept fans and spectators on the edge of their seats Saturday and Sunday!

Sixteen (16) Bike Shop teams also competed for cash prizes and standings. South Park’s local BMX team, Thunder Racing, lit up the track to net the 1st place team win on Saturday with a score that rocketed to 166 points! This weekend was a big win for the team and they’re looking forward to more racing in Ohio, Delaware, and Kentucky. Thunder Racing is a nationally recognized team with thirty (30) riders, ranging in age from 5 to 55 and sponsored by Dan’s Comp, Mon River Supply, Liberty Sports, World of Wheels, Minniefield Construction, Eastern Tile, Conspec, and Gate Nine Design.

South Park BMX hosts local races every Wednesday from April through October.
