The Mon Valley United Firedancers recently won first place in back to back soccer tournaments.

The U8 girls soccer team, coached by Mike Einodshofer, competed in the 3v3 "Kick It" Tournament in Murrysville, PA June 29-30, 2013, placing first in their division of 6 teams. They also won the championship in the "U8 Girls White" Bracket in the "3v3 Live" Soccer Tournament, which was held in Peters Township on July 13, 2013. The girls were undefeated in the event, finishing the day with a 4-0 record.
