With a sixth straight sell out at The Willow Room in Rostraver Township on the evening of June 21, the Mid Mon Valley All Sports Hall of Fame welcomed seven new members into its honored Hall of Fame bringing the number of total inductees to 212.

WPIAL Achievement awardees: Elizabeth Forward’s Braelyn Tracy (swimming), Charleroi’s Nick Gavazzi (wrestling), California’s Kailyn Clancy (track and field).
The first two inductees in 1951 were Stan Musial and Bert Rechichar. All seven inductees spoke of their roots in the Mon Valley and the humbleness with which they receive the award.

Fifteen Mon valley area graduating scholar athletes were also honored along with three WPIAL gold winners, Charleroi’s junior Nick Gavazzi in wrestling, California’s junior Kailyn Clancy in track and field and Elizabeth Forward’s senior Braelyn Tracy in swimming. These students received the MMVASHOF Achievement award.



Richard Bucchianeri, long-time Valley educator, was awarded the 2013 MMVASHOF Appreciation award for his vast contributions to the Hall’s success.
