Leopards Win Second Consecutive WPIAL Title

A parade was held on Sunday, July 15 at 2:00 pm to celebrate the 2018 WPIAL AAAA title won by the Belle Vernon Area High School girls softball team.

The parade, complete with fire trucks rolled through North Belle Vernon, Belle Vernon Borough, Rostraver Township, Fayette City and Washington Township. Chief John Garver of NBV Fire Department organized the parade. After the parade, a celebratory gathering was held at North Belle Vernon Community Bank Park, sponsored by North Belle Vernon Recreation Commission.
This is the Leopard’s second consecutive WPIAL 4A title and third in the last four years.
