Seniors

The Bible Chapel will host the first annual SageWorks Senior Information Fair on Saturday, May 4 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center at the South Hills campus at 300 Gallery Drive (just off Route 19 near the KIA dealership) in McMurray.

Exhibitors at the Senior Fair will provide information on many aspects of the senior lifestyle. Local businesses range from information and referral sources to senior living, home care, and health care options.

“Soon after beginning SageWorks, The Bible Chapel’s ministry to older adults, 55 and up, last year I quickly realized the huge need for information and resources to help older adults make decisions about this stage of life,” says Pastor Wayne Johnson. “The myriad of financial, legal, health, medical, and living issues and options that will be faced sooner or later can be overwhelming. The Senior Information Fair is our first step in meeting this need in the church as well as in the community.”

The organizers of the Senior Information Fair hope that attendees will get connected to services they need right away, learn about services or resources they may need down the road, and that local senior services have an opportunity to network and partner with each other to better serve the local community’s senior population. West Penn Outpatient will be offering some free health screenings.

Admission is free and open to the public. Stop by to pick up information for yourself, friends or your loved ones. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

If you are a senior service provider and wish to attend as an exhibitor, please contact The Bible Chapel or the media contacts below as soon as possible.

For more information, contact Wayne Johnson at WJohnson@biblechapel.org or Jennifer Rogers at jennifer@jrmediallc.com or by phone at 412-779-2198.
