School News

Two of the October Students of the Month were honored at the November meeting of the Old Trails BPW. Both are seniors at Bentworth High School.

Ronn Holmes, son of Carrie and Ron Holmes, is a music student and is very involved the marching and concert bands. Ronn is in the academic league, National Honor Society, FBLA, mock trial and plays baseball. He plans on attending Kent State for architecture.

Julia Stearn, daughter of Talitha Schweitzer and John Stearn, attends MVCT Center with a great interest in the culinary arts. Julia participates in Skills USA and National Technical Honor Society. She hopes to study at IUP with a focus in culinary and business and would like to eventually own her own restaurant.
Three students were honored in November, our art month.

Calista Boyce is the daughter of Terri Boyce. She attends Bentworth High and is very interested in zoological studies. Calista hopes to join the military to honor her father, who served in the Navy and graduated from West Liberty College.

Alexandria Gray, daughter of Tamela and Robert Gray, was the art student from Beth Center High School. She is very interested in drawing. Alexandria is a church volunteer and a member of the marching and concert bands. She is undecided about her future, but she does plan on attending a four-year college.

Sarah Hiers is the daughter of Dwayne and Jacqueline Hiers and was the art student from Charleroi High School. She was unable to attend.
