Joseph Matisic, Carlito Pettiford, and Tim Johns won the Golden Hammer Award at Mon Valley Technical School.

This award was given to them for showing great improvement in preparation for competitive employment. During the monthly Clairton City School District Board of Directors meeting, School Board President Richard Livingston, Board Member Roger Tachoir, and Special Education Coordinator Crystal Vogtsberger presented the students with awards and warm wishes. Alexis Trubiani, Student Service Liasion, and Principal Thomas MccCLoskey presented gifts from the high school.
