Religion

The members of the Catholic Women's College Club are enjoying summer as they plan their next year of charitable services to the Mon Valley community. The club will continue to visit area resident centers, sharing gestures of kindness and encouraging words to the residents.

The club's annual banquet was held at the Mon Valley Country Club. Officers Martha Ghilani and Susan Gessner were installed as treasurer and secretary, respectively. Joyce Amatangelo of Monongahela was installed as a new member. The Rev. Pierre Falkenham, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi in Finleyville, will continue to be the club's chaplain for the upcoming year.

The next meeting of the CWCC will be September 9 at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Valley in Donora.
