Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church of Elizabeth Township will hold its annual Vacation Bible School June 25 – 29 from 9 a.m. to noon for 5-year-olds through students in 5th grade.

This year’s theme is “SHIPWRECKED – Rescued by Jesus.” Kids leave VBS knowing that there is someone bigger than their struggles and someone stronger than their weaknesses. Kids are anchored in the truth that Jesus carries them through life’s storms.

VBS is one week of 15 fun, faith-filled hours kids will love. Kids continue on adventures through seven stations in crews. Each station reinforces the daily Bible point in a hands-on interactive way. The Bible stories show kids the heart of Jesus. Sciency-fun gizmos instead of crafts engage the kids and help them learn hands on. They also will watch films about real kids living out their faith in really cool ways. Each day a tasty snack is served. The days begin and end with kid friendly, uplifting music and songs.

All participants must register in advance at www.chcumc.org. Registration is open June 1 – 21. Cost is $15 per child. Payments are to be mailed to: Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church, 100 Timothy Drive, Elizabeth, PA 15037. Please make checks payable to: CHCUMC. Call Debbie at 412-751-0511 for any questions.
