The 2nd Annual Pan-Orthodox Liturgy in the Park will be celebrated on Sunday, October 2 at Monessen City Park Amphitheater.

Fr. Samuel Smolcic from Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Belle Vernon, PA will be lead celebrant, assisted by Fr. Joe Cervo from St. Spyridon Orthodox Church in Monessen, PA, and by Fr. Fred Pfeil from St. Michael's Orthodox Church, also in Monessen, PA. Peter Merella, an ordained reader from Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, will be lead chanter and will direct a Pan-Orthodox Choir for the Liturgy. Matins begin at 8:30 a.m. with Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. A covered dish picnic lunch at the park will follow the Liturgy. Hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages will be supplied. Parishioners are requested to bring their choice of a salad, side dish, or dessert.
