Litter along the roads. Trash dumped over a hill. What can be done about it?  Allegheny CleanWays will try to answer that question when a representative comes to speak at the Elizabeth Township Historical Society on Thursday, March 14.

How would you like to go back in time to take a journey down the famed Route 66? Not familiar with this historic highway, you say?  Established in 1926, Route 66 is one of the country’s most famous highways. Traveling from Chicago, Illinois toSanta Monica, California, it covers over 2,400 miles. The route was used by many who migrated west during the 1900s and has been popularized in songs, TV series, and even the Faulkner novel, The Grapes of Wrath. 

A Waffle and Pancake Brunch, Fundraiser for the Mantle House Mission will be held on Sunday, March 17 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM.  The brunch will take place at the West Newton Lions Fieldhouse, located at 507 Pittsburgh St. in West Newton.

Thomas Presbyterian Church located at 1068 Linden Road will hold an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday March 24 at 12 noon.
