The Monongahela Area Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 in the parlor room of the First Presbyterian Church, located at 609 Chess Street, Monongahela. Please enter through the Chess Street entrance.

President Susan Bowers will highlight upcoming events, including the May 7th “3rd Annual Stroll Shop ‘N Sip.” A historical program tying in with the 250th anniversary of Joseph Parkinson’s deed will follow the brief business meeting. Norene Beatty of Pittsburgh’s Old Stone Tavern Friends Trust will speak on “The Whiskey Boys Who Did Business at the Old Stone Tavern.” Discussion with light refreshments will follow the speaker. The meeting is free and open to the public.
