The Monongahela Area Historical Society (MAHS) can be reached at 724-292-8247. MAHS meetings are held September through May, on the 4th Thursday of the month.

MAHS will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 in the parlor room of the First Presbyterian Church, located at 609 Chess Street, Monongahela. Please enter through the Chess Street entrance. Dr. Miles Richards will speak on "Henry Miller Shreve and Other River Folk." The meeting will highlight the new self-guided walking tour of the Monongahela Historic District, the new ‘History Through the Eyes of Women’ inaugural edition to kick-off this month, fall ghost walks in October, and current events.

Light refreshments will follow the speaker. The meeting is free and open to the public.
