Used Book and Boutique Sale

The Friends of Jefferson Hills Library is holding its annual Used Book and Boutique Sale from April 17 through 19. Book sale hours are as follows:

  • Friday, April 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Children's and Young Adult sections are BOGO)
  • Sunday, April 19, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Bag Day, $5/Bag)

The sale weekend will kick off with a preview party/sale on Thursday, April 16. Tickets for the preview event are $8 and may be obtained at the library. Drop-off donations of boutique items (jewelry, purses, picture frames, scarves, belts) are welcome any day during regular Jefferson Hills library hours. Call 412-655-7741 for more information.

Military Banner Program

The Borough of Jefferson is participating in a Military Banner Program that places a 24 x 36” photo of military personnel, currently serving in the Armed Forces or having served, on a banner on Borough utility poles. Cost for the program is $80 and application forms and more information may be obtained at the Borough of Jefferson Hills Municipal Center or library during regular business hours.

Community Earth Day 2015 Cleanup

The Borough of Jefferson Hills is announcing a Community Earth Day 2015 Cleanup of litter on Jefferson Hills neighborhood roads and in parks on Saturday, April 25 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Borough families, churches, scout groups, businesses and other organizations are invited to participate. A continental breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. on April 25 at the Municipal Center, 925 Old Clairton Road, where volunteers will receive assignments, gloves, vests and bags.
