Valley Garden Club President Janice Yeaton said, in regards to the entries received for various judged categories, "We had 105 horticulture entries of specimens grown by the members, and 36 flower designs and two special educational exhibits. These are all judged by accredited Garden Club Federation of PA judges."

Club Vice President Angela Raitano, of Charleroi, won the Sweepstakes Award for Design, with the most points for floral design.

Cecil Verkleeren, of Belle Vernon, with the most points for her winning horticultural specimens, won the Sweepstakes Award for Horticulture.

Mary Jane Martucci took Table Artistry for Exhibition Table Type II, and won 1st place, Blue Ribbon, for title: "Purple Mountain Majesty."

There were many other awards received by the local artists competing with excellent arrangements. Those attending the library took their time viewing the unique show.

There are 26 members in the club, and they meet in Belle Vernon. They have shows every two years. For more information, contact Janice Yeaton at 724-929-4361.
