The Friends of the South Park Township Library will be celebrating their 40th year anniversary in October.
The "Friends" group spends much of their time raising funds for the library through their book sales and fitness classes. These monies enable them to sponsor educational and community interest programs that aren't available through a library's normal operational budget. Programs and special classes are part of the heritage of the "Friends" and the present day "extra goodies" they still offer our community, with everyone's help of course.
The "Friends" are asking area residents and businesses to join in their approaching celebration by joining them. If you are already a member, we encourage you to renew when your membership is due. Pick up a membership form on the Friends' information stand inside the library, and mail or return it to 2575 Brownsville Road, South Park, Pa 15129. All donations are tax deductible. Make checks out to Friends of S.P. Library. Individual member $10, Family $15, Business $30 or more; Lifetime $500.
