The West Newton Public Library, located at 123 North Water Street in West Newton, PA will be offering a variety of upcoming programs and events.

The library is open during the following days and times: Monday 12 to 6 p.m.; Wednesday 12 to 8 p.m.; Friday 12 to 6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information or questions, please call the library at 724-972-3229.

Children’s Story and Craft Hour
The West Newton Public Library will be starting our monthly Children's Story and Craft Hour this fall with the first story hour starting in September. As in the past the story hour is the third Saturday of the month starting at 10:00 a.m. Children of all ages are welcomed to attend with a parent.

Tea on Broadway
Mark you calendars for Saturday September 21 for the library's Tea on Broadway. Tickets are currently on sale at the library or at Gary's Chuck Wagon for $20.00. This event has limited seating so you will need a ticket in advance to attend.

New computers – Wi-Fi and Coffee Bar!
Stop by the library to check out our new computers and Wi-Fi as well as our new coffee bar and large selections of magazines.

George Washington Presentation
Miles Richards will be returning to host an hour talk on George Washington and his role in Western Pennsylvania on the second Saturday in October. Call the library to book your seat this event is free to the public.

Donations Needed – china, cups, saucers, jewelry
The library is currently looking for donations of matching china cups and saucers in good condition to use in an upcoming fundraiser also we are accepting donations for gently used costume, fine, rhinestone jewelry, watches and jewelry boxes to also use in an upcoming fundraiser. We are always accepting newer gently used books as well.

Fall Book Club Reservations
We are also reserving spots for our Fall book clubs. So if you have a group of individuals who love books and want a great place to meet to discuss them give us a call so we can book a day for your group to meet in the multipurpose room.

Share your knowledge and expertise!
The library is looking for anyone interested in teaching any types of classes at the library please give us a call so we can look into setting up a time in the fall, winter or spring season.

Volunteers Needed
The library is always looking for volunteers to join our team. We are always accepting monetary donations, estates, and endowments to help fund the library. If you are interested in helping, please give us a call at 724-972-3229.
