The Kastan Uveges VFW Post 7632 and Ladies Auxiliary and the Alonzo Weigle American Legion Post 553 celebrated a busy Memorial Day weekend with visitations, flag decorations, and a 21 gun salute at all the War Memorial sites.

Major General Randall R. Marchi receives award from Mayor Householder
A reception for dignitaries was held at the Rock Run Inn, Butler Golf Course on Sunday evening. The veterans participated in the Elizabeth Borough Parade on Memorial Day and also in services that followed at Riverfront Park in Elizabeth. A wreath was laid on the waters of the Monongahela River with the Community invited for lunch at the Elizabeth Fire Hall.
