Attend a FREE one-Day Workshop to Learn More

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) works on behalf of the best interest of children in the Washington County juvenile dependency system.
These trained volunteers speak up for children who have experienced the pain of being torn from their families by circumstances of neglect and/or abuse. The volunteer takes steps to make sure a child has a voice in court and advocates for that child throughout the child welfare system to ensure a safe permanent home as quickly as possible.

CASA for Kids is sponsoring a free, one-day, six-hour workshop to learn about the child welfare laws and juvenile dependency system. Learn about the issues surrounding abuse/neglect and the foster-care system. In advocating for an abused or neglected child, you give that child a voice - and a chance for a better life. Learn how you can make a difference in the future of a child on September 6 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at the CCAC site in Washington Crown Center, 1550 West Chestnut St. Call CASA for Kids office phone at 724-228-0414 for registration. A complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided. Upon completion of the workshop each participant will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
