Seed Lending Library Meeting
Bentworth Seed Lending Library will meet at the Bentleyville Public Library Tuesday, August 6 at 5:30 pm. The group will view the video Genetic Roulette - GMO's – Genetically Modified Food and their effect on our health. Anyone interested is invited to attend the program. Fine Art Classes
The Bentleyville Public Library is offering a Fine Art Series, August 21, 28 and September 4. A three week session of fine art classes taught by Kama Lee, currently teaching drawing and sketch for CCAC non-credit programs. Students will be introduced to various mediums such as ink, pencil and acrylic. They will work on their own art projects under the instructors guidance and critiquing. Prepaid, nonrefundable deposit of $40 is for all three sessions. A supply list may be picked up at the time of registration. Contact the library for more information at 724-239-5122.

Book Club
The Bentleyville Public Library Book Club will meet at the library Thursday, August 15 at 6:00 pm. The book to be discussed will be “Peony in Love” by Lisa See. Set in 17th Century China, a young woman starves herself to death after falling in love with a man she fears she'll never be allowed to wed. She comes up with her plan after seeing the Chinese opera "The Peony Pavilion," which tells a similar tale. To reserve a book contact the library at 724-239-5122.

Items Up For Raffle
The Bentleyville Public Library is raffling a display ship, anchor, dock and sign for .25 per chance. Would make a great addition to a playroom or for a Pirate theme birthday party. Visit the library to buy a ticket.

"Take Off Pounds Sensibly" - TOPS Group Meetings
The Bentleyville Public Library is starting a T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group. The meetings will be held every Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm. The first meeting will be Tuesday, August 20. TOPS is a weight loss support group, yearly dues are $28 with weekly dues of $1. To register, contact the library at 724-239-5122.

Kids Science Club
The Bentleyville Public Library is registering children ages 7 to 11 for Kids Science Club. The Club will meet Wednesday, August 14 at 6:00 pm. Learn science with fun and exciting experiments. Contact the library to register and for more information at 724-239-5122.

Friends of the Library Meeting
