ADULT PROGRAMS
 
Murder and Mayhem Mystery Book Club meets on Monday, July 1 at 1:00 p.m. The Book for discussion is The Beekeeper’s Apprentice by Laurie King. Extra copies are available at the front desk. Newcomers welcome
 
Conversation Salon meets on Friday, July 5 from 1:00 - 3:00. Share your thoughts and opinions on various topics of discussion. Newcomers always welcome. Refreshments served.
 
A Dollar Store Crafts workshop will be held on Thursday, July 11 at 6:30 p.m. See the many different fun, decorative and practical crafts you can make with items bought from the Dollar Store. Make as many as you want for $1.50 each for materials. See a display of craft items in the Library.
 
The Book Group meets on Monday, July 15 at 7:00 p.m. This month’s selection is, Why My Third Husband Will Be a Dog by Lisa Scottoline. Extra copies of the book are available at the front desk.

Book Talk will be held on Friday, July 19 at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Jack Aupperle will review the book, Pope Francis by Matthew Bunson.
 
Library Online Databases: What’s In Them For You? Will be presented on Monday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m. by Sharon Julian-Milas, Library Director. Databases can help you find an ancestor on your family tree, fix your car, or tell you the next book to read in a favorite series and much more.
 
Breaking Ground Near You: 17 Year Cicadas - Saturday, July 27 at 11:00 p.m., will be presented by Dr. Chad Gore, Entomologist. Find out why we might not see the 17 year cicadas here this year and what other types of cicadas are native to our area. All ages welcome to attend!

Zoobeats! Throughout July, August, and September. Stop by the library to explore the magic of music composition! This program is brought to you by WYEP and Allegheny County Library Association in partnership with Pleasant Hills Public Library.
 
Preschool Storytime: Tuesdays, June 4 – August 27 at 10:30 am & 1:30 pm. Explore different themes through stories, songs, crafts, and a snack! For children ages 3 1/2 to 6 years old, with or without a caregiver. No registration necessary.
 
Baby Nook Nook: Wednesdays, June 5 – August 28 at 10:30 am. Nursery and action rhymes, songs, books, and so much more! For children birth to 2 years old, with a caregiver. No registration necessary.
 
Tot Time: Thursdays, June 6 – August 29 at 10:30 am. Learn and grow with stories, songs, finger plays, fun activities and a snack! For children ages 2 to 3 1/2 years old, with a caregiver. No registration necessary.
 
PJ Family Story Time - Dino Snores: Monday, July 8 at 7:00 pm. Can you snore like a dinosaur? Get ready for bed with dinosaurs while enjoying stories, songs, games, crafts, and a delectable snack! Wear your PJs! Fun for the whole family! Please register.
 
After School AdventuresAlternative Art: Wednesday, July 10 at 4:00 pm. Discover surprising uses for everyday objects while creating art! A $1 donation per child is requested. For children going into Kindergarten - 5th Grade. Please register.
 
Teen Talk: Thursdays, June 13 – August 8 at 12 pm. No program on July 4. Stuff your face with delicious food while enjoying conversation with friends and a variety of games! We’ll play Wii and chat about books! Weekly SRC winner picked at each meeting. Winner need not be present at time of drawing. For students going into grades 6 – 12. No registration necessary.
 
After School Adventures - Finding Fossils: Wednesday, July 24 at 4:00 pm. Fossils can be hard to find so let’s make some instead! A $1 donation per child is requested. For children going into Kindergarten - 5th Grade. Please register.
 
Teen Craft: Designer T-Shirts: Monday, July 29 at 6:00 pm. You provide the t-shirt and we’ll provide the decorating supplies! Paint, cut, or bling out your t-shirt! For students going into grades 6 – 12. No registration necessary – but bring a t-shirt!
