The June meeting of the Charleroi Area Historical Society, Inc. was held at the SPHS Riverside Place Senior Center where the evening speaker was Sandy Mansmann of the Washington County History & Landmarks Foundation whose HQ is the White House located on the Washington County Fair Grounds.

The presentation given by Mansmann was about their annual theme being pursued called: “Leading Ladies of SW PA”. She utilized a history display board on the subject, distributed information, and pointed out all the brochures available to those interested, including the “Washington County Chronicles” that is for sale by their organization.
Karen Jurczak was also recognized at the meeting for having again won the Washington County Adult Spelling Bee.
