The Donora Rotary Club will present a free series of Music In the Park concerts at Palmer Park this summer. Offering a variety of music, the programs will run as follows:

• Sunday, July 14 – The Wally Gingers Orchestra, music from the Big Band Era.
• Sunday, August 5 – The Townsmen Plus One, standards, rock and roll and songs for line dancing.
• Sunday, September 1 – 4R Jazz Plus 1, contemporary and classic jazz.

All concerts will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the Damon T. Garde Memorial Stage at Palmer Park, which is located off Route 837 between Donora and Monongahela. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring picnic-basket lunches and refreshments, and concessions will be available The Mid-Mon Valley Transit Authority will provide free shuttle service between the park and Donora Towers.

The concerts are sponsored by Monongahela Valley Hospital and the Tri-County Federation of Musicians Local 592 of the American Federation of Musicians’ Music Performance Trust Fund.
