Reverend Walt Pietschmann, of the Bethesda United Presbyterian Church, joined by members of the First Presbyterian Church, recently hosted the first annual Chili Cook-Off in Elizabeth Borough.

Cooking enthusiasts gathered with 16 different chili entries, some sweet and a few spicy dishes. The local community in attendance served as the panel of judges, passing meaty dishes of chili and choosing their favorites in several categories!

Chili Cook-Off Winners:

• Meatiest Chili: Renee Oates
• Beaniest Chili: Reverend Jim Davidson
• Spiciest Chili: Billy Kisner
• Best in Show Chili: Alene Thalman and Sherry Johnson
