ADULT PROGRAMS
Bird Watching
Enjoy Bird Watching at the Pleasant Hills Arboretum on Sundays, May 12 and 19. Participants should meet in the Arboretum parking lot on West Bruceton Rd by 8:00 a.m. Bring binoculars and field guides if you have them. All ages are welcome to participate.
Conversation Salon
Diverse opinions and respectful opposition are welcome at the Conversation Salon on Friday, May 3 from 1 - 3:00 p.m. Participants discuss a variety of topics including current events. Light refreshments served.
The Murder & Mayhem Mystery Book meets Monday May 6 at 1:00 p.m. This month’s selection is Dissolution by C. J. Sansom; a novel of Tudor England.
The Book Group meets Monday, May 20 a 7:00 p.m. This month’s selection is Heartbroken by Lisa Unger.
Crochet
Learn How to Make a Granny Square on Tuesday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m. Crocheters already familiar with a double crochet stitch are welcome to participate in the workshop. Bring a 2 or more colors of scrap worsted yarn, and a crochet hook size G, H, or I. Registration required.
Writers Group
Amateur and professional writers of any genre, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry and memoirs are invited to attend the Writers Group/Lifestory Writing meeting on Tuesday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. Participants should bring in an essay or a sample writing to share with the group.
Book Talk, a bi-monthly book review, will be held on Friday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. in the Program Room. Dr. Jack Aupperle will review Coolidge by Amity Shlades.
Raise Your Own Chickens!

Musicians Wanted
The Peasant Hills Library is looking for local musicians interested in performing Music on the Lawn throughout the summer. Evening dates are being scheduled now. If interested in participating please send an email to gealys@einetwork.net.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover: Drop-off: Friday, May 3 from 10 am – 4 pm. Pick-up Breakfast & Storytime: Saturday, May 4 at 10:30 am. Ever wonder what your stuffed animals get up to when you’re asleep? Drop your stuffed friends off in the Children’s Department during normal operating hours on Friday and come back Saturday morning to see what kind of mischief they got into! We’ll celebrate the reunion with stories, songs, crafts, and a scrumptious breakfast! A $2 donation per child is requested – collected at drop-off. Mom & Me Spa Night: Monday, May 6 at 7:00 pm. Children are invited to bring their favorite woman in their life for an exquisite night of pampering! After School Adventures – Stamp Art: Wednesday, May 8 at 4:00 pm. Learn how to make your own stamps using unconventional materials!
