Cornerstone Christian Preparatory Academy invites everyone to a rare night of family-friendly entertainment with no admission fee.
The school’s drama team is eager to pack the house for their musical production of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” on May 8, 9 and 10 at the Bible Chapel, 300 Gallery Drive, McMurray. The chapel’s state-of-the-art auditorium seats 1400 per show, so spread the word, there should be plenty of seats for all who would like to attend!
Cornerstone’s 3rd annual spring drama is the school’s primary fund-raiser event for students who need financial support to be enrolled (either full or part-time) in the private, non-denominational 7th through 12th grade Christian academy. Free-will donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. A silent auction begins on Wednesday with bidding to continue through Friday at intermission. Additional proceeds for the event come from the concession stand that includes a Willy Wonka Candy Store, advertising in the event program and direct student sponsorships.
Doors open at 6 pm to shop the silent auction and concessions, and the show starts at 7:00 pm. In keeping with the theme of Willy Wonka, there is a special “Golden Ticket” option available, offering reserved priority seating, a special pre-performance “meet and greet” with the cast, program advertising benefits, and a special gift of Wonka candy!
