Annual Used Book Sale and Boutique

Used books and boutique items of scarves, belts, photo frames, etc. are being accepted at Jefferson Hills Library for the Friends of Jefferson Hills Library Annual Book Sale, which will be held from April 11-14 at the Borough of Jefferson Hills Municipal Center, 925 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills. Adult Programs for March

Vegetable Gardening:
Thursday, March 21 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
An Allegheny County/Penn State Master Gardener will discuss vegetable gardening, including soil preparation, soil testing, and proper use of fertilizers and insecticides (including an "organic" approach). Selection of determinate and indeterminate plant varieties will also be discussed. Specific vegetables will be addressed in regard to selection of varieties, approach to specific diseases, and insect predation and management.

SAT Preparation Classes:
Four Sundays, April 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 1-4 p.m. Fee is $175.
Permission forms can be picked up at the library. The SAT exam is being given at Thomas Jefferson High School on May 4. Register at Jefferson Hills Library’s website at www.jeffersonhillslibrary.org or call 412-655-7741.
