South Arts Pittsburgh Announces Two Upcoming Art Shows at The Schoolhouse Arts & History Center
South Arts Pittsburgh is hosting two art shows at the Schoolhouse Art & History Center, located at 2600 South Park Road. The first show will be held on Sunday, October 6, from 10:00AM – 3:00PM, during the Bethel Park Historical Society’s open house (12–3 PM) that includes tours of the schoolhouse and coincides with the Bethel Park Volunteer Fire Company open house across the street. Tour the building and check out a variety of original artwork and photography by local artists.
Then, on Saturday and Sunday, November 9–10, South Arts Pittsburgh will host a two-day artist market from 9:00AM – 2:00PM, also at the Schoolhouse Arts & History Center. The artist market includes local vendors displaying/selling their artworks throughout the first and second floors and South Arts members' artwork for sale in one of the classrooms of the historic schoolhouse.
At both events, South Arts will have a basket raffle with chances to win artwork. The proceeds will be donated to the Bethel Park Historical Society for their continued improvements to the historic schoolhouse.
Reginald’s Coffee will be open to purchase coffee/tea while you peruse art. When you visit Reginald’s, be sure to check out the South Arts members’ art exhibition in the lobby. Art is available for purchase, and ten percent of the sales goes to the Bethel Park Historical Society.
