The 11th Annual ‘Raise Your Voice’ Festival will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 12 noon to Dusk at Monessen City Park Amphitheater. Admission is free. The event is presented by the Monessen Amphitheater Committee.

The festival was started in 2012 by a group of friends, with the purpose of highlighting local musicians and businesses, and to showcase the Monessen City Park Amphitheater. Last year’s festival brought hundreds of people to City Park throughout the day.

During this year’s festival, there will be vendors, food, and an all-day concert. The popular local band FUBAR will headline the concert, along with local bands such as, Fry Jones, Habatat, Shane Turner, Laura and Kramer, and Mick Francis and the New Romantics.

This year’s festival is in honor and memory of Jake Hursh a local musician who lost his battle to cancer at the age of 33 in 2022. Jake was a founding member and rhythm guitarist of the band FUBAR, which plays a blend of reggae-rock-ska-punk music. He was a supporter and past performer at the Raise Your Voice Festival, and the festival organizers are glad they will be able to honor him in this way.

The Monessen City Park Amphitheater is Handicap accessible, and located at Monessen City Park, which can be accessed via car, on foot, or via the Mid Mon Valley Transit Bus.

For more information, or to donate towards the festival, in order to keep the event free to the public, please visit the Facebook event page - 11th Annual Raise Your Voice Festival. Vendors and sponsors can contact Linzi Troilo atshotsbylinzi@yahoo.comor Matt Shorraw at mshorraw@gmail.com.
