The 24-inch diameter tree in this photo taken at Montour Trail milepost 45.5 (MP45.5) was removed by volunteers on November 25.

Tree Down Tree on Montour Trail

It was one of over 20 trees removed by volunteers from the trail between MP35 and MP46.6 in 2018. An additional 20 dead and leaning trees were removed from the along the trail between MP36.7 and MP37.5 in 2018 as a preventive measure.
