The sounds of praise and music will once again echo through Chess Park in Monongahela, when the community celebrates with the 14th annual “Praise and Worship in the Park,”
This event will run from Friday, August 10 through Sunday, August 12 beginning at 6:00 pm on Friday with a concert geared toward the youth. Saturday events kick off at 12:00 noon and run until 9:00 pm. A worship service will be held on Sunday morning at 9:30 am.
A number of area churches, ministries and non-profit organizations will join together for praise, music, food and fellowship. A variety of activities are planned, including all-day musical performances, childrens activities, food booths and informational booths. The event is sponsored by the First Christian Church Monongahela with other ministries represented.
This year again, there will be a FREE concert for area youth on Friday, starting at 6:00 pm in Chess Park.
The hip-hop Christian group EMG will bring a message of hope to the world through their form of music. at 7:30pm. Free Refreshments and prizes and back to school supplies and backpacks will be provided for those age 17 and under, as long as supply's last. All ages are welcome
A open worship service will be taking place on Sunday August 12th at 9:30am in Chess park. All are welcome.
