To emphasize the importance of tourism, especially in the fall, the Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency and West Alexander Agricultural Association recently released a schedule for fall events taking place in Washington County.
“It is great to see our tourism agency working with our local farming communities to promote our fairs, festivals and farm heritage. Fall is a great season in Washington County and their partnership demonstrates the important crossroads of agriculture and tourism in our county,” said Larry Maggi, Chairman of the Washington County Board of Commissioners.
Below is the October schedule of fall events:
- October 1, 6-8, 13-15, 20-22, 27-29 – Great Pumpkin Weekends, The SpringHouse, Washington
- October 1, 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, 28-29 – 48th Annual Fall Festival, Trax Farms, Finleyville
- October 7-8 – Hickory Apple Festival, Mt. Pleasant Township VFC, Hickory
- October 13-15 – Houston Pumpkin Festival, Houston American Legion Post #902 Picnic Grounds, Houston
- October 13-15, 20-22, 28-29 – Pumpkin Patch Trolley, Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, Washington
- October 20-22, 28-29 – 23rd Annual Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts Christmas Festival, Washington County Fairgrounds, Washington
- October 28 – 2nd Annual Witch Festival, Monongahela Aquatorium, Monongahela
