Greenock U.M. Church in Elizabeth Township will hold "Apple Fest" and "Log House Days" on Saturday, September 26. The two events will occur directly next to each other at 1213 Greenock Buena Vista Road.

The 8th Pa. Regiment of the Continental Line will pitch their tents at the Greenock Log House site to provide hands-on experience with living history

Apple Fest will be held from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm, and will feature BBQ pork, chicken and side dishes, apple dumplings, baked goods and folk music.

The Greenock Log House Days will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will include host colonial reenactments and vendors. The 8th Pa. Regiment of the Continental Line will pitch their tents at the adjacent Greenock Log House site to provide hands-on experience with living history. Log house tours will be given to showcase restoration efforts by the Elizabeth Township Historical Society that include period windows, doors and chinking. Funnel cakes will be available along with vendors showing and selling Americana crafts and interesting items. Artists or crafters interested in participating may call 412-751-5389.
