The WOMEN (Women Organized to Mentor, Empower and Network) of Southwestern PA, Inc. are hosting a social about mental health first aid on October 20, 2016.

Tina Zimmerman, a trainer for mental health first aid will discuss the process to becoming a mental health first aider. Mental health first aiders are trained to recognize risk factors and warning signs of mental health concerns. They learn to identify signs of depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and substance use, and they become aware of ways to provide an action plan to help someone developing a mental health concern with the aid of regional resources.
