Fall News and evvents from VFW Post 1940 and the Women’s Curry Club.

Spaghetti Dinner for Kristy Carnegie

The VFW Post 1940 and the Women’s Curry Club sponsored a spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction to benefit Kristy Carnegie. Kristy was diagnosed on December 21, 2015, with triple negative ductal breast cancer, which is an aggressive breast cancer. We had a nice turnout with family, friends and members supporting the event. We also had some outside donations that went directly to Kristy.

4th of July Picnic

The VFW had their 4th of July picnic on July 3rd. It was an old fashioned picnic with the main event being the dunk tank. Officers, bartenders, and others took turns in the dunk tank. Fun was had by all.
