Local Girls Vie for National American Miss Pennsylvania Crown

Three local girls have been chosen as State Finalists in the National American Miss Pennsylvania Pageant to be held August 9 and 10 at the Hilton Harrisburg.

The National American Miss Pageants are held for girls ages 4-18, and have five different age divisions. The winner of the Pageant will receive a $1,000 case award, the official crown and banner, a banquet of roses, and air transportation to compete in the National Pageant in California where she will receive an exciting complimentary Tour of Hollywood and two V.I.P. tickets to Disneyland®.

• Summer Bennett, age 11 of McMurray, will compete in the pre-teen division. Summer attends McMurray Elementary and is in 5th Grade. Summer's activities include Girl Scouts, jazz and hip-hop dancing and cooking. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, movies, music and playing with her dog, Dallas.

Jada Jewel King





• Jada Jewel King, age 10 of Canonsburg, will be participating in the 7-9 age division. Jada attends Allison Park Elementary and will be going into the 5th Grade in the Fall. Jada likes visiting the library, participating in volunteer opportunities, and dancing. She also enjoys singing, reading, arts and crafts, and baking cupcakes with her mom.

Brianna Nicole Sobeck



• Brianna Nicole Sobeck, age 8 of Jefferson Hills, will participate in the junior pre-teen division. Brianna is in the 3rd Grade at McClellan Elementary. Brianna's activities include Girl Scouts, competitive cheerleading and youth wrestling. She also enjoys tumbling for hours on her trampoline, swimming, playing with her pets and enjoying sports with her four brothers.
