Khayla Powell has been selected as the November Girl of the Month by the Charthene Club. The Announcement was made at the November meeting by Mrs. Deena Issi, Chairperson of the Youth and Education Committee.

Khayla Powell, November Charthene Club Girl of the Month

Khayla is a highest honor roll student and a senior at Charleroi Area School District, where she was inducted into the National Honor Society. She is also the President of the Executive Committee. Khayla participates in Marching and Symphonic Band and belongs to the Musical and Drama Club. She is also active in Relay for Life, Student tutoring, Show Choir and Softball. Khayla’s community involvement includes being a counselor at Mon Valley YMCA Summer Camp and she is also an aid at Mon Valley Hospital and Bethel AME Monongahela Church.

Khayla is the daughter of Kelli Epperson and granddaughter of Michael and Reneta Powell. Her future plans are to attend Ohio State University to pursue a degree in medicine.
