Marissa Filby has been selected as the January Girl of the Month by the Charthene Club.

Marissa Filby

Marissa is a senior at Charleroi Area High School and is an honor student. She participates in Bots IQ, where she is a team manager and a captain of documentation. She belongs to the drama club, Skills USA, the Monongahela Historical Society, and Centerville American Legion Auxiliary Unit 705. She has received many awards in horseback riding and has been a past officer of 4-H.

Marissa is also active in her community. She has participated in Day of Hope, Harvest Bounty, Relay for Life, 4-H Dairy Bar, and the Mon Valley CTC for Show.

Filby plans to attend Penn State or Washington & Jefferson to pursue a career as a forensic pathologist.
