Tuesday, November 4 at 1 p.m. – “We Were Quiet Once” Film Screening

Join us for a special film screening about the effects a national tragedy can have on a local community –and how the human spirit endures and rises above. A new film by local filmmaker Laura Beachy, it shines a light on the folks whose daily lives and lifestyles were changed by the crash of United Flight 93 on September 11 and by their hometown being turned into a national park and monument. No registration required.

Saturday, November 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Holiday Craft Show

Get an early start on your holiday shopping by supporting the library’s craft show fundraiser. Over 50 crafters will be displaying a variety of handmade jewelry, clothing, greeting cards, special holiday decorations and much, much more! Be sure to visit the 2nd floor!! Wednesday, November 12 from 1 - 3 p.m. - Conversation Salon

Thursday, November 13 at 1 p.m. - Four Boots, One Journey: A Story of Survival and Rejuvenation on the John Muir Trail

Join us for a book talk with author Jeff Alt. With dust still on his boots from hiking the Appalachian Trail and after a family tragedy, Jeff convinces his wife –a woman who prefers warm beds and hot meals—to walk with him through the entire John Muir Trail. Tuesday, November 18 from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. - The Art of Basket Weaving Workshop

Following her free general presentation, Sister Donna Wojtyna of Basket Creations Studio will lead a special two-hour workshop and instruct twelve lucky weavers on how to make their own basket creations! Wednesday, November 26 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. - WWII and History Discussion Group

This program is open to all who are interested in military history and World War II. Veterans of all service eras and non-veterans alike are welcome to join this wonderfully lively group that meets on the last Wednesday of every month to discuss military conflicts and history. We watch films and war-era shorts, read literature, and talk about all things WWII. Free - no registration required.
