Library News

Monessen Public Library & Cultural Center will host Greenburg author Scott Brown on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at 1 p.m. He provided coverage of the Steelers football team for close to ten years as part of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review newspaper and ESPN.

Brown is the author of six books, including ‘The Pittsburgh Fans’ Bucket List.’ Currently, he is collaborating with former Steeler great Tunch Ilkin on a book, which will be released in 2018. Brown provides ideas, recommendations and insider tips for the must-see places and can’t miss activities near Heinz Field. Hear his perspective on the Immaculate Reception, tailgating and the best places to watch the game.

For those attending the Scott Brown lecture, please consider bringing with you any new or gently used coats, hats, gloves or mittens in sizes for children or adults for the ongoing coat collection. The winter clothing can be donated during regular business hours and deposited in the collection box near the circulation desk.
