Summer Reading Club for Infants through Teens
The theme for 2017 is “Build a Better World.” We will be spending time this summer building, discovering, sensing, transforming, and learning about diverse lifestyles. Track your reading and attend programs to receive fun and exciting prizes. Registration is appreciated for all programs to ensure enough supplies are prepared. Summer reading will last until August 19 at our annual summer reading wrap-up party (logs must be turned in before August 15.) Sign up today!

Summer Reading Club for Adults
This years’ theme is “Build a Better World” and will run from July 3 - August 7. Adults signing up will receive a goody bag filled with ways to win prizes all summer. The summer will be filled with many fun activities to learn how to build a better you and a better world. Join us for belly dancing, healthy body workshop, and terrarium building, just to name a few!

Healthy Body Workshop
Thursday, July 13 from 7 - 8:30 p.m.
PRC’s Healthy Body, Healthy Home Workshop is designed to heighten awareness and encourage action around the issue of toxins in our environment. Participants will also receive a free green cleaning starter kit with class attendance.

Cost: $30/person and $35/couple. Note: Any couple where the second attendee is under 18 should choose the individual registration, as their second party is free. Contact 412-488-7490 ext. 236 if you have questions or for payment information.

Crafternoons for Adults at the Library
Join us the third Wednesday of each month for Crafternoons. We will meet downstairs from 2:30 -4:30 p.m. This is an informal gathering and a chance to meet new people and learn new craft ideas. Adults ages 18 and over welcome only. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, July 19. This month’s theme will be BYOC...Bring Your Own Craft! If you cannot make it in the afternoon, stop by between 6 – 8 p.m. that evening. Registration is appreciated for this program.

Urban Myths and Legends in the Garden
Learn all about the urban myths and legends in the garden from Denise Schreiber aka ‘Mrs. Know It All’ of the Organic Gardeners Radio Show on Monday, July 24 at 7p.m. Does planting by the moon improve your crop yield? Does burying a banana under a plant give it more potassium? Is compost tea really good for the garden? There will be giveaways.

Belly Dancing Classes
Join Amethyst from Pittsburgh Bellydance & Healing Arts! The classes will cost $15 in advance/$20 at the door and are held from 7 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25 and Tuesday, August 29. Registration is through PayPal with Amethyst by emailing her at pittsburghbellydance@gmail.com.

Financial Education Series
Income During Retirement - Monday, July 31, 7 p.m.
You have worked hard for the past 40+ years, now you are ready to relax and enjoy the various benefits you have accumulated. However, navigating and coordinating various income streams from Social Security, pensions, employer saving plans, and IRAs can destroy relaxation during retirement before it even occurs. During this session we will explore how to prepare for income during retirement from sources such as investments, social security, and pensions.
