Whether you are new to investing or need a refresher, this presentation will help you learn about: the importance of developing a strategy, the impact of asset allocation and the influence of inflation on your long-term goals. Refreshments and light snacks will be served. Registration is required, call 412-882-6622.

The Choices We Make:How to Live Your Life While Being Mortal - Thursday October 20 @ 7 p.m.

Join us to view a 50-minute PBS Frontline video featuring Dr. Gawande’s personal journey –and the stories of his patients and their families. The film explores the ways in which having a conversation around the question “What are your priorities if your time is limited?” can empower patients to live their lives more fully. Following the video there will be a discussion and question period with Dr. Keith Lagnese and Laura Kinney of Family Hospice and Palliative Care. Refreshments will be provided by John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. To register, call 412-882-6622.

A Little Shot and a Little Soup: Flu Clinic - Wednesday October 26 - 1 - 4 p.m.

The library is partnering with Rite Aid to provide you with your best shot at staying healthy this fall and winter. Afterward, participants will be given a small cup of chicken noodle soup (a trip to the doctor’s in a bowl!) to keep warm and for warm thoughts!  No registration required.
