New Office to Open Soon in Clairton

Obstetrician and gynecologist Eric Jonathan Lantzman, MD, has joined Allegheny Health Network and the staff of Jefferson Women’s Health, seeing patients at offices in Jefferson Hills and Clairton with staffing privileges at Jefferson and West Penn Hospitals.

Dr. Lantzman, formerly from Mt. Lebanon, is returning to the Pittsburgh area after spending the past six years based in Anchorage, Alaska, where he cared for the Alaska Native population in the remote areas of the state’s bush communities of Kodiak Island, Nome, Barrow and Dillingham. The isolated bush regions of the state, where the majority of Alaska Native families live, are not connected to the road system and villages are accessible only by small planes.

In Anchorage, Dr. Lantzman served as Chief Medical Informatics Officer of the Women’s Health Department and an OB/GYN staff physician for Southcentral Foundation, a health system serving low-income Alaska Native families in areas with a high rate of drug and alcohol abuse.

Deborah Linhart, vice president for women’s health initiatives, Allegheny Health Network, said Dr. Lantzman’s experience and dedication to working with women facing high-risk pregnancies and lack of prenatal care make him a good fit for Jefferson’s community outreach to the Clairton community.

“AHN is committed to providing exceptional care for women in communities we serve, especially for moms-to-be, for whom early and regular prenatal care is essential in improving the chances of a healthy pregnancy,” she said. “The addition of Dr. Lantzman to our team of OB/GYNs will enhance the services we can provide in our southern region communities, including our new office location in Clairton.”

Dr. Lantzman received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaiser Permanente, San Francisco. He is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His professional affiliations also include the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Association of Reproductive Health Professionals.

Dr. Lantzman is welcoming patients at Jefferson Women’s Health, 575 Coal Valley Road, Suite 330, Jefferson Hills. His office in Clairton, located at 803 Miller Ave., is scheduled to open soon. For appointments, call 412-267-6600.
