A new Subway has opened in Finleyville, off of Rt. 88, near the Mineral Beach swimming pool.

This new Subway location is located in Finleyville, off of Rt. 88.

Al and Lynn Taffel, along with their daughter Ana, own three other Subways in neighboring areas, as well as this new location in Finleyville. They opened their first Subway twelve years ago in 2002 in the Washington Crown Center Mall. They also own the Subways off of Library Rd. and Industrial Blvd. in Bethel Park.

Even though Subway restaurants are widely known as a popular franchise, they are owned and run individually. "I think the public should know these are family-owned businesses," said Lynn.

The Taffel family had hopes of opening their Finleyville location sooner to generate business and serve the public during the summer, but getting the restaurant ready for business took a little longer than they had originally expected.

Ana expressed how they're looking forward to meeting their new customers and learning what they like to order. "We're excited to get to know our customers," Ana said.

This new Subway location is currently hiring. They employ about 15 people at a restaurant, ages 16 and up. The hours are flexible and there is opportunity for advancement.

They also do catering. You can talk to someone face-to-face or order online. They offer 3-ft. and 6-ft. party subs as well as platters, cookie trays, and boxed lunches.
