Improvements to the building's facade were funded in part by a grant from the Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, while additional support for the office was provided by the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation and an anonymous donor.

Mon Valley Initiative, located at 435 McKean Ave. Charleroi, is open to the public. MVI works to promote and create community development, workforce development, housing counseling and financial coaching. A computer lab is available for job-seekers to work on their resumes, submit applications and learn software applications. Stop by to see all the resources they offer.
