Zimmer Printing is the Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce ‘Business of the Month.’ Located in the downtown business community of Monongahela, Zimmer Printing has been operating for nearly 122 years.

It is the ultimate family-owned business - currently on its third family. As its name suggests, the business was started by the Zimmer family in 1897. John Zimmer and his brother operated it.
Tobias Provan, began working around the printing business as early as age 10, sweeping the floors. By the time he became a teenager, Tobias was given more responsibilities in the printing business. And when his father became ill, he took a more active role in the company.
"When dad was on dialysis, I would open up the place until he came in the afternoon," Provan said. "When he passed away, I started managing the business."
Tobias’s mother, Carol Provan, owns the business and does the bookkeeping. A brother, Nathanael, runs one of the presses. But Tobias manages the day-to-day operations.
Zimmer Printing does business and commercial printing. They specialize in custom-made items such as business cards and forms, letterheads as well as event and tickets, including perforation. They also handle items such as information contact cards, business discount cards, raffle tickets, prescription pads, post cards for nonprofit organizations and ‘while-you-were-out’ notepads. They also offer laminating and fax services.
Zimmer Printing is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays. They can be reached by telephone at (724) 258-7775.
